Tracy Mistry

Tracy’s passion for functional wellness and movement training has evolved throughout her life.

She has worked for over 25 years as an Occupational Therapist, helping people of all ages rehabilitate their bodies, integrate their nervous systems and maximize function in their daily lives.

She holds a BA in Psychology, and a MS in Occupational Therapy. She is a Nationally Certified Pilates Instructor, a USPA New York Pilates Certified Instructor and holds additional certifications in Neuro-Movement, Bal-a-vis-X, Brain Gym, Feet-Ness, Konnector and Bellicon Rebounding.

Tracy discovered Pilates in 2013, when she was recovering from a lumbar disc injury. After exploring multiple avenues, she found Pilates to be the key to rebalancing and finally healing her body. In 2018, Tracy completed her comprehensive USPA Classical Pilates certification with second generation pilates teachers Brett Howard, Jen O’Mara and David Freeman.

Tracy is deeply committed to Pilates as a mind-body practice for all ages and abilities. She brings a unique and holistic approach to her pilates training, weaving together a strong background in anatomy, body mechanics assessment, neuro-movement training and sensory integration principles. She strives to help her clients achieve a more enriched and mindful movement practice that will profoundly impact their everyday function.

Bellicon Rebounder Training:

As both an OT and a fitness instructor Tracy appreciates the long list of positive health impacts of Bellicon rebounding ranging from low impact cardiovascular benefits to vestibular training and improved lymphatic flow. In her OT practice, Tracy has found bouncing on the Bellicon rebounder to be very effective across all ages in helping people regulate their nervous systems and regain focus whether in the classroom or the office. Her fitness clients say they always feel happy when they are bouncing on the Bellicon and it is the most fun they have ever had working out. And best of all the Bellicon mat is a fun place to incorporate some mat pilates!
